Every photo from our day is not only beautiful, but also truly captures the essence and the special moments from the day. Liz also did our engagement photos - she flew all the way out to our home city of San Diego to take them, and it was such an amazing experience

From our engagement session to our wedding shoot, she made us and our families feel at ease and captured beautiful photos that are not overly staged but truly capture the feeling and emotion of this epic day in our lives.

During our engagement shoot in Malibu, my feet were freezing from walking barefoot in the freezing Pacific water and on the way back to the cars Gavin offered me his own shoes to be more comfortable - I mean who does that!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
While your wedding weekend will take up a lot of the spotlight, your engagement period is just as worthy of commemoration and celebration. We’d be honored to preserve your memories of this time with photos that feel like you — connected, romantic, and full of joie de vivre.
Our approach to engagement sessions is all about laid-back elegance and capturing you in your authentic dynamic with one another. We’ll guide you but also step back and let your relationship shine — the result is chic, compelling images that perfectly encapsulate the excitement of your engagement.
While we pride ourselves on planning for different scenarios, your session day greeting us with a downpour is something that is (unfortunately) outside of our control. When we schedule your initial session date, we like to earmark a rain date just in case Mother Nature has other plans for the original. Regardless, we’ll be in touch via email to confirm a reschedule should anything prevent your session from taking place as scheduled.
We recommend booking your session date sooner rather than later. During the spring and fall we tend to have fewer open dates due to weddings and travel, so the further we schedule in advance, the more likely we are to be available on your first preferred date.
In order to reserve your session date, we require a signed contract and a retainer.
We’ve put together a style guide should you need any inspiration for your session attire — including outfit ideas for your pet! We also are happy to connect you with a local stylist should you want even more hands-on expertise.
Feeling awkward posing for photos is completely normal. Our approach to photography is grounded in making your time in front of our lens as natural as possible. We capture moments of true connection and emotion, not just pre-planned poses. We recommend choosing an activity for your session — like going to your favorite bar or out for ice cream — to help get you into the headspace of just having fun together. After a few minutes of shaking your nerves out, you’ll be feeling comfortable in no time.
A few weeks after your session, we’ll be in touch with an online gallery of high-resolution, downloadable images. There you’ll be able to order prints, canvases, and other keepsakes for family members, too —we make it as easy and stress-free as possible, and are always happy to chat should you need guidance.
