Jahi and Tubi had the most beautiful (and fun!) tropical Ethiopian Andrew Mellon Auditorium wedding. Their day was filled with joyful moments. In choosing a design, since they both love the beach, they had a tropical vision for their wedding day. And since palm leaves are common in Ethiopian weddings, it was a win win!

BRIDES, I cannot stress enough how important is for the florist to drop off loose blooms and greens for us to get detail shots. That way, the detail photos are not random, but tie the entire wedding together. It gives context to the detail images.

They were welcomed by guests with palm branches into their reception and it was SO MUCH FUN! There was so much energy in the room. We love a good guest experience!

Jahi + Tubi, thank you so much for having us capture so many wonderful memories. We had a blast!

Check their wedding out on the latest issue of the Knot Magazine! YAY!

I love this wedding! It’s fabulous AND indoors! I have trouble with lighting in a lot of the indoor weddings I do and would love some guidance. I’m a D.C. area photog too & I really admire your work!
Have a fabulous day! – Katelyn
Hey Katelyn! It is tricky! We have a course all about that: https://courses.elizabethfogartyphotography.com/courses/the-guide-to-off-camera-flash
You can start with one off camera flash and build on that 😉
